AllPolls.nz brings together New Zealand opinion polling in one place: every published nationwide party-vote poll for the House of Representatives, shown in interactive charts, with every pollster side by side. You can follow each party over time, look at one pollster's own record, and compare a campaign against the result that followed it.
AllPolls.nz is independent and is not affiliated with any pollster or party.
Messages and privacy. Messages you send us on social media (including direct messages on Bluesky) may be processed automatically so they can be answered with a standard reply. The text of your message may be passed to our AI processor (Anthropic) as part of that. Messages we cannot answer automatically are read personally by the site's administrator.
Where the numbers come from
Every poll on this site is read automatically from the public New Zealand polling pages on English Wikipedia, which are maintained and cited by their editors. That is the site's only source, so everything here sits in one licence pool: CC BY-SA 4.0. Each poll keeps its own pollster and its own fieldwork date. A poll is listed under the firm that carried it out, not under the outlet or organisation that commissioned it. The official election results come separately from each election's own article.
We publish what pollsters publish. Nothing on this site is weighted, adjusted, modelled or turned into a seat forecast: the lines are the polls, and the averages are averages of them.
Party vote, not seats
New Zealand elects its Parliament by MMP, and the party vote is what decides how the seats are shared out: a party needs 5% of it, or an electorate seat, to qualify. That is why the party vote is the one number every poll reports and the one this site charts. Electorate polls, Māori-roll and regional breakdowns, preferred-prime-minister ratings and approval polls are left out, because they answer different questions. Where a poll reports an “Others” figure it is counted toward the total but never shown as a party.
How far back the charts go
The poll series starts in November 2008, after the 2008 general election, and runs to today: five full election cycles plus the current one. Results are shown for every general election from 2005 onwards. Two older polling pages are not included yet: the 2008 page, whose table is laid out in a way our reader cannot yet follow safely, and the 2005 page, where many early polls list only some of the parties. We would rather add them properly later than show incomplete lines now.
Polling day
On polling day, until 7 pm, we publish no new poll figures and post nothing on Bluesky — Electoral Act 1993, s 197. Figures that were already online before polling day stay visible. For the 2026 general election, polling day is Saturday 7 November 2026.
The 2026 result
We do not report election-night counts. The 2026 result is added after the Electoral Commission declares the official count on 27 November 2026.
